VTG Boyds & Friends Tobby Winner Teddy Bear Friends Style #2259 Miss Bruin & Bailey “The Lesson”. Handmade. Retired 1994. In Excellent Vintage Condition.

Vtg Tobby Winners, Teddy Bear Friends Miss Bruin Teacher & Bailey who is attending his reading lesson are charming together. Made from Bearstone cold cast resin and handcrafted and painted with intricate details. It depicts a teacher and a student, as shown in the figurine of the two bears. Colors are matt finish. Miss Bruins is wearing a blue dress, with off white collar and a blue bow on her head. She has white chalk in her pocket and patches on her dress. The cameo jewelry has a face of a bear. In her right hand is a red apple with a bite out of it. The black board has the letters of the alphabet. Little Bailey the student has a beige dress with red heart buttons and patches on it. The little bear has chalk in right paw. Under the left arm is a sign “I Can Read Now” in gold color. The books behind them have printing on them also. The top book “The World”, 2nd book “ Knowledge” and 3rd book “Future”. On the back of the chalk board names are printed. Wm. Author Ward said “The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The Great Teacher Inspires”.

Measurements: 3 1/4 in height, 3 7/8 in width and 2 1/2in depth. The black bear claw is on the 2nd book on the bottom. This detail showcases the craftsmanship that Boyds Bears & Friends are known for. This piece is a handmade item and is numbered Edition/pc 56E/3033.
