Description
Vintage, Old Store Stock. MINT Condition. Purchased in 1989. 22 Karat gold trimmed Russell’s Originals hand painted, hand-cast native American motif ceramic bear figurine. Each of Vera’s items are individually designed and painted using unique glazes that reflect the colors and textures of the Southwest.
Russell’s Originals are “A Painting in Clay”. The color of the bear is a light teal blue with a texture. The eyes are raised teal dots and surrounded by glaze white smooth finish which also forms the mouth. 22 K gold trim accents the eye and mouth. The bear stands for courage, strength, protection and life. Enclosed card says, “The gold is real, 22 Karat gold which has been fired on and cannot be washed or scraped off.”

Vera Russell’s art studio was in ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO. All pieces are hand signed by well know artist Vera Russell. Vera has retired from the pottery business and she predominantly paints pictures in oil and watercolors now. Her pottery is becoming Highly Collectable and is increasing in value.
Items that I sell that are marked vintage, antique or collectible may show some signs of wear to the original boxes or original package when available. See pictures for detail. All of my items come from a smoke-free environment. I do combine shipping on multiple items.
